April is financial literacy month! Navigating financing in the small business world is a prominent challenge. With the dynamic nature of lending information, entrepreneurs often find it difficult to navigate. When it comes to small business loans, the options can be abundant, ranging from traditional sources like banks and credit unions to alternative avenues such as friends and family, angel investors, and economic development corporations. However, there are also less conventional options like loans through POS (point-of-sale) devices, payday lenders, and even loan sharks, each with its own set of pros and cons.

In our upcoming series of Biz Bucks: Beyond Banking throughout the month of April, we aim to shed light on some atypical lenders we work with. These lenders diverge from traditional banks, offering unique value propositions. What sets them apart? What are their requirements? Get answers to these questions and more every Thursday at 12 noon.
